Mission in the Power of God’s Kingdom

Throughout Church history the proclamation of the Good News has been most effective when accompanied by demonstrations of the real-time reign of God. The Gospel is to be lived in word, deed, and power. A “two-legged-stool” is particularly ineffective in a post-modern world thirsty to experience the living God. As we’re “on mission” for Christ, is there a way to offer prayer, with the expectation that God will be revealed, while avoiding the wackiness associated with some on the fringe of the Church?
